There are two websites which deserve special mention, the Australian site;

betterhealth.vic.gov.au

This site is excellent, and has information that is: quality-assured and reliable, up-to-date, locally relevant and easy to understand.

This site is funded by the Victorian Government, with no commercial advertising or corporate sponsorship, and has been rated as the No. 1 Health and Medical Website in Australia. This site has thousands of information sheets which can also be heard as audio files, exported as PDF files, and emailed.

Also the British site:

Patient. info is the web’s leading independent health platform, established for 20 years. With more than 18 million visits a month, it is a trusted source of information for both patients and health professionals across the globe.

The site contains over 4000 health information leaflets and thousands of discussion forums. Each leaflet can be translated into about 80 languages, can be heard as an audio file, and exported as a PDF file, and emailed.
