Ballina Family Medical Centre Fees
Family Medical Centre wishes to remind our valued patients that we are a private billing practice. All patients will be privately billed (including Telehealth consultations) as per the fee structure set out below, which is payable at the time of consultation. Medicare rebates are processed and deposited into your account at time of payment.
We continue to offer bulk billing (no out of pocket costs) for children under the age of 16 and our DVA card holders.
We offer discounted fees for Pension/Health Care Card holders.

The above fees are based on the current AMA Fees List, which is adjusted regularly to reflect inflation and associated rises in business costs. Billing is, however, at the discretion of each individual doctor, and we encourage you to discuss any financial difficulties with your regular treating GP.
Please note:
- All eligible Health Assessments and Chronic Disease Management Plan consultations incur no out of pocket expenses (i.e. covered by your medicare rebate).
- Fees usually apply to other services such as skin procedures, iron infusions, ear syringing and implanon insertion, and may apply for some nursing appointments. Please discuss with our reception staff for further detailed information at time of booking.
- All Saturday morning consults are charged at the full private fee, with no bulk billing or discounted fees available on weekends.
